Passion Fruit Mousse Recipe


Ingredients for Passion Fruit Mousse

For the Mousse:

  • 200ml hot water
  • 1 packet of passion fruit-flavored gelatin
  • 1 cup (240ml) concentrated passion fruit juice
  • 2 tablespoons passion fruit pulp with seeds (optional)
  • 1 ½ cans of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 small box (200g) of heavy cream
  • ½ cup (120ml) powdered milk

For the Topping:

  • 100ml passion fruit pulp with seeds
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup (120ml) water

Preparation Method

For the Topping:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the passion fruit pulp, sugar, and water.
  2. Cook over low heat until the mixture reduces.
  3. When it starts to boil, foam will form on top; skim it off with a spoon.
  4. Once the topping has thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a separate dish to cool.

For the Mousse:

  1. In a blender, blend the passion fruit juice, passion fruit pulp, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, powdered milk, and gelatin dissolved in 200ml hot water.
  2. Blend thoroughly and pour the mixture into a dessert dish.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  4. After chilling, spread the cooled topping over the mousse and serve this delightful passion fruit mousse.
