Ingredients for Passion Fruit Mousse
For the Mousse:
- 200ml hot water
- 1 packet of passion fruit-flavored gelatin
- 1 cup (240ml) concentrated passion fruit juice
- 2 tablespoons passion fruit pulp with seeds (optional)
- 1 ½ cans of sweetened condensed milk
- 1 small box (200g) of heavy cream
- ½ cup (120ml) powdered milk
For the Topping:
- 100ml passion fruit pulp with seeds
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- ½ cup (120ml) water
Preparation Method
For the Topping:
- In a saucepan, combine the passion fruit pulp, sugar, and water.
- Cook over low heat until the mixture reduces.
- When it starts to boil, foam will form on top; skim it off with a spoon.
- Once the topping has thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a separate dish to cool.
For the Mousse:
- In a blender, blend the passion fruit juice, passion fruit pulp, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, powdered milk, and gelatin dissolved in 200ml hot water.
- Blend thoroughly and pour the mixture into a dessert dish.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- After chilling, spread the cooled topping over the mousse and serve this delightful passion fruit mousse.
